This training is designed to inform OSU employees of University policies regarding sexual misconduct, discrimination and harassment as well as enable employees to identify sexual harassment behaviors and respond appropriately if they occur, and prevent such behaviors in the future.

Affirmative Action & Equity in Hiring Practices

Bullying

Learn to recognize the stages of bullying, its effects and impact, and options for effective intervention.

Bullying education is recommended for all OSU students and employees.

Conflict Management

Participants are introduced to resolution strategies, framing messages, active listening, and a four-step model for addressing and navigating conflicts. Concepts covered are based on research theory in communication and conflict. Interactive elements illustrate key concepts and allow participants to experience and apply new skills.

Conflict management training is offered to all OSU students and employees.

The FYI Friday lineup consists of a variety of campus partners presenting brief, one-off, awareness- or foundational skill-building topics of interest to a wide audience. Weekly sessions are available to all Oregon State University students, faculty and staff - and there is no cost to attend. Presented on Fridays, Fall through Spring.

Search Advocate Community of Practice

The Search Advocate Community of Practice (CoP) is a monthly meeting for those who have already completed Search Advocate Foundations series.  Trained advocates come together to discuss challenges, share strategies, and co-create the OSU Search Advocate program.  Three CoP meetings during the academic year fulfill the annual search advocate continuing education requirements for eligibility.

Collaborating Across Difference: Creating a Culture of Indispensability 

This workshop explores the nature and organizational implications of individual worldviews. In addition to exploring the theory of worldview psychology and commonly associated negotiations in diverse teams, participants will practice interpersonal communication skills which attend to and mitigate intercultural complexities.

This is an interactive, multimodal workshop that utilizes individual reflection and group activities.
